Efrem Zimbalist (more information at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efrem_Zimbalist) used to own a very large collection of precious violins which included three great Stradivaris: the "Lamoreux" of 1735 (below), the "Titian, Comte de Sauzay" of 1715, the "Chant du Cygne", a Guarneri del Gesu' of 1735, a Lorenzo Guadagnini of 1743, a Ferdinando Gagliano of 1756, a Giovanni Battista Guadagnini of ca. 1775.
